WHO FIRST

1953 was the first year Corvette was produced. There were a total of 300 Corvettes produced this year, which was the least amount ever produced. All 1953 Corvettes were equipped with a 150 horsepower "Blue Flame 6 cylinder engine". The chrome grill of the 1953 Corvette had 13 teeth. In 1953 Susan Coleman, age 16, became the first civilian to drive a Corvette.
